Kents Cavern is signed up to VisitBritain's National Code of Practice for Visitor Attractions.  We are inspected annually by the Devon Association of Top Attractions for quality and we operate sustainable and green tourism standards.  In 2008 we were awarded Gold Tourism Excellence as the Best Large Visitor Attraction in South West England.

ENTRY PRICES TO VISIT

All visits into the caves have to be accompanied by a trained guide because of the dramatic underground environment of the cave and its status as a National Protected Monument.

Tesco Clubcard Deals Tokens are accepted for daytime cave tours but are not valid in the restaurant, bar or shop. They are not valid for any other special event in the caves.  

Opening Times and Tours
Kents Cavern is Open ALL year 

NOVEMBER 2009 - MARCH 2010

  • Open 9am daily. All visits into the cave are guided and tours run at the following times: 11.00am, 12.30pm, 2.00pm and 3.30pm.

APRIL 2010 - JUNE 2010

  • Open 9am daily. All visits into the cave are guided and tours run regularly throughout the day from 10.30 to 4.00pm.

JULY & AUGUST 2010

Site opens for breakfast at 9am
Restaurant and shop open 9am to 5.00pm

  • All visits into the cave are guided and start at 10:15. 
  • Tours run frequently throughout the day until 4.30pm.
  • Open evenings in July and August for the Cavern Ghost Night Scare Show and Dinner from July 1st to August 28th. Show runs Wednesday to Friday from 6.30pm.  
  • Booking is essential for the Ghost Scare Show on 01803 215136.

SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER 2010

  • Open 9am daily. All visits into the cave are guided and tours run regularly throughout the day from 10.30 to 4.00pm. 
  • Halloween events during Half Term between 10:30 and 4:00pm
  

Registered Carers & Disabled Visitors

Cave entry for registered carers and disabled visitors is £4.50 per person (proof required) but please read the Access Statement  as wheel chair access to the cave is restricted.
