TRAINING & SUPPORTDiamedica provides sustainable biomedical solutions for those working in highly specific and challenging environments throughout the world. From the full Glostavent® Anaesthesia System to highly robust portable anaesthesia units for the military and field workers, together with a wide range of complementary products, our equipment is always fit for purpose.
What sets Diamedica apart from many other companies is simple. We know from experience that far too many pieces of medical equipment purchased by or donated to developing countries are unsuitable. It is inevitably built for a highly sophisticated wealthy market and yet is expected to perform where resources are either non-existent or financially crippling. In many cases the equipment cannot even be set up on arrival and local technicians struggle to service machinery without training or back up.
At Diamedica we believe in giving end users the tools for the job. This means ensuring that set up of equipment is available should it be required. It means carrying out training, both for anaesthetists and engineers, in how the equipment works, how to service and maintain it and therefore enable them to get the most out of it.Sustainable maintenance of medical equipment in developing countries is practically non-existent. It is vital that users feel confident in the product, in their ability to use it and that they will receive back up should there be any concerns.
To this end Diamedica offers full set up and training to the specific requirements of the end users. We participate in many training courses for those going to work in challenging environments, including those run by Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia and the Nuffield Department of Anaesthesia, Oxford. We participate in WFSA refresher courses for anaesthetists and work to a recognised set of protocols.
